Craft Beer - Stacked-03
Love is on tap in Southwest Virginia
August is Virginia Craft Beer month!
Virginia is brewing some really tasty craft beer and the nation is noticing. The craft beer industry in Virginia has boomed very quickly from just a handful of breweries a couple of years ago to nearly 100 (if not more) craft breweries. It appears that Virginians and visitors passing through our beautiful Commonwealth are enjoying the liquid love on tap.
There are plenty of craft breweries to enjoy in Washington County and Southwestern Virginia. Check out the local breweries, and share your stories and pics with the hashtag #vacraftbeer.
Wolf Hills Brewing Co.
WOLF HILLS BREWING CO is a craft brewery located in historic Abingdon. The brewery takes its name from the original appellation that Daniel Boone gave to the wilderness that became Abingdon. Tradition holds that Boone and his hunting companion spent a sleepless night along a hill on the Great Road after their dogs encountered a pack of wolves, which had a den in a nearby cave. Drawing from this rich history, Wolf Hills Brewing Co melds together time honored brewing methods using only the highest quality ingredients with modern beer styles inspired by the wide array of fragrant hops. Wolf Hills brews in small batches that are only distributed locally. The result is a level of fresh, savory beer that is unmatched in this region. Discover one of our many styles for yourself . . . you’ll be howling for more.Tue – Fri: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Sat: 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm

The Damascus Brewery
The Damascus Brewery is focused on providing high-quality beer and customer satisfaction – they will do everything they can to meet and exceed your expectations. With a variety of beer to choose from, you’ll be sure to find a style and flavor that complements your meal or activity. Brewing is personal passion at The Damascus Brewery: Adam Woodson is the brewery founder and the only employee. He started out as so many brewers do brewing 5 gallon batches in college to drink and have fun. From these simple beginnings 10 years ago, he began growing his own hops and brewing countless batches of homebrew to completely refine recipes and develop some new ones. “Not all were great, just ask my friends,” Woodson says, “But those beers that passed the rigorous trial period were allowed to move into the recipe vault where they will periodically come around and get a chance to be on tap!” Thursdays & Fridays 6-9pm, Saturdays 2-10pm, Sundays 1-6pm.
