Jaimie L Patterson 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★We saw 2 shows at The Barter Theater. Guys and Dolls and Savannah Sipping Society. Both were equally hilarious and heartwarming. Guys and Dolls were in the main theater, with nice, comfy seats, a cute little gift shop, and nice ushers. The local actors/actresses were the best we have seen by far! Outstanding. Then, in another barter theater across the street, we saw the Savannah Sipping Society! If you have the opportunity, go see this play; it will have you laughing way after the show ended!

Kristie Grasis 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★This place is amazing!!!!!!! The history (read about it before you go) is interesting The theater is immaculate- it is obviously upkept with love. The play was well written and well performed. It did not have the “set money” of broadway, but was thoroughly enjoyable (we saw the divinci code). Ample parking - although I would not arrive late as I question if the parking lot could hold a full theater And bring money for a souvenir- this theater is worth your support

Mark Jones 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★I have been many times over the years, I have always had a great time and experience every time I come here.... The staff and ushers are exceptional except for one usher, but I won't let that ruin my time at the Barter... because I seen the best play i have ever seen this Christmas.... The Grinch Musical. It was simply the best performance yet....If you have never been or thinking about going... go you won't regret it!!!!

Sean Dodge 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★My cousin recommended stopping at the Barter Theater as the perfect break while my wife and I were driving from DC to Asheville, NC. We're so glad we listened! We caught a production of The Da Vinci Code, and it completely blew us away. For a small town, this place is incredible. The quality of the performance was top-notch, the theater itself is charming, and they run roughly six different productions a day across morning, afternoon, and evening shows. The tickets were very reasonably priced, making it an easy and enjoyable detour. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area and only wish we had planned to stay longer. If you're anywhere near Abingdon, Virginia, do yourself a favor and make time for a show at the Barter Theater. You won't regret it!

Ken Fowler 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★We really enjoyed the Three Musketeers. The 9 actors each played several roles which made it appear that the cast was much larger. Great acting. Great set design. Overall, very exciting play.
