White's Mill Foundation
From May through October, you can visit this working water-powered mill for a glimpse of the past and experience the sights and sounds of traditional milling in action.
Listed on the Virginia and National Registers of Historic Places since 1974, White’s Mill stands as a testament to the region’s heritage and craftsmanship.
Since the late 18th century, the mill has served the neighboring community — providing meal and flour for farm and kitchen, and offering a gathering place where friends shared news, stories, and a sense of connection.

Louella KoenigWasn't open today. Still, couldn't help but admire The Majestic appeal of this beautiful place. It does need a little work that gives it that lived in look. If you plan on going, wear walking shoes / tennis shoes. They have a Facebook page, message them ahead make sure they are open, and their planned hours.

Brenda KrekelerWhite's Mill is an historic, well preserved roller Mill in the great state of Virginia. The Mill has three stories and an attic. The exterior is white, horizontal-wood planks with a large-sized waterwheel and a beautiful wooden flume. The interior is spectacular with original milling equipment. They have a line of three late 1800 roller Mills, grinding millstones, flour sifter and in the upper level a large flour shaker, amazing. Don't miss White's Mill, it is treasure.

Bill HamptonWe enjoy visiting the mill and picking up some fresh ground cornmeal from time to time. Lots of History here and worth the time to drive, it's only 6 or 8 minutes away from the Abingdon Historical District.
