The Virginia Highlands Festival is excited to present An Evening with Chef Sean Brock & Chef Travis Milton–two renowned culinary personalities with Appalachian roots–in conversation at Barter Theatre’s Gilliam Stage on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 7PM.

Fresh off his nationwide book tour, James Beard Award–winning Chef Sean Brock will chat with fellow chef Travis Milton in a place close to where both were born and raised. These childhood friends will touch on everything from heritage foods to the incredible cultural and biological diversity of Appalachian cuisine. There will also be time for an audience Q&A. It's sure to be an entertaining, educational, and enlightening evening for foodies and locals alike!

Preceded by The New York Times bestselling cookbook “Heritage,” Sean Brock launched his sophomore cookbook, “SOUTH,” in October 2019. Individual admission to this event includes a signed copy of “SOUTH,” as well as photo opportunities after the talk.
