The “drama of discovery” came to define the early days of the Studio Glass movement as artists transitioned the material of glass from functional object to sculptural. Examine where the dramatic element of glassmaking is leading artists working today with Glassfest, 4 days of demonstrations, lectures and tours, hosted by William King Museum of Art.

DEMONSTRATION: Chrysler Museum of Art’s Mobile Glass Studio – Glassblowing Demonstration

Buskerfest on Main Street in Abingdon – Saturday, August 31st from 12-5 p.m


Performance of 60 Grit Finger – Glass artist Suzanne Peterson
Sunday, September 1st 1:30 and 3:00 p.m.
