What a beautiful formation. The hike takes about 3 hours both way if you are experienced hiker or 4 hours in a more relaxed hiking. Once upon there you will love it and the hike is worth it. Take your time in the rock formation toexplore every corner

Always a rewarding hike for the uniqueness of the channels and the great views. I would recommend getting here early, especially on nice weekends because of the limited parking.

Such a beautiful hike! Be prepared that there are only 10 parking places and that rangers will only allow 10 cars there. So if you show up and there's more than 10 cars you have to wait until someone comes down and leaves. If you don't follow the rules they will tell you and they are watching. Other than that it is an absolutely outstanding experience that our local should experience at least once! Bout 2.5-3 hrs hike each way. Make sure you bring water and snacks and decent shoes and you will be okay.

The first part of the hike is along a gravel road and isn't thrilling, but the channels themselves are well worth the hike. Very impressive.

What an amazing place! It definitely is worth the effort and time to hike the 3.5 miles up to the summit. Your total round trip distance will depend on how much exploring you do in the Channels. We ended up with 8.3 and both of our Strava traces recorded 1,600 plus feet of elevation gain. We took our time and had over 5 hours by the time we got back to the car. Parking is limited to 10 cars, so get there early or hike on a weekday. Definitely bring a bottle or two of water.
